SRH vs KKR IPL 2024 Final Highlights : The final match of IPL 2024 was played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers. In this match, Hyderabad batted first and set the target of 114 runs. In reply, Kolkata achieved the target by losing two wickets in 10.3 overs and defeated Hyderabad by eight wickets.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has won the IPL 2024 trophy. Shreyas Iyer-led KKR defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 8 wickets in the final. KKR got the target of 114 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, which they easily chased by losing two wickets in 10.3 overs. This is Kolkata’s third title. His title drought ended after 10 years. KKR won the trophy in 2012 and 2014 under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir, who is now the mentor of the franchise.

KKR did not have a good start while chasing the target. Sunil Narine (6) was shown the way to the pavilion by Pat Cummins in the second over. After this, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Venkatesh Iyer batted steadily. Both of them made a strong partnership of 91 runs for the second wicket. Gurbaz became the victim of Shahbaz Ahmed in the ninth over after scoring 30 runs in 32 balls. He hit five fours and two sixes. Venkatesh returned victorious. He scored unbeaten 52 runs in 26 balls with the help of four fours and 3 sixes. Shreyas remained unbeaten after scoring 6 runs.

Hyderabad scored only 113 runs in 18.3 overs for 10 wickets. This is the lowest score in IPL final history ever. Captain Pat Cummins scored the most runs for Hyderabad (24 in 19 balls, two fours, one six). For Kolkata, Andre Russell took three wickets while Mitchell Starc and Harshit Rana took two wickets each. Vaibhav Arora, Sunil Narine and Varun Chakraborty took one wicket each. After winning the toss and opting to bat, SRH made a disappointing start. Opener Abhishek Sharma (2) was bowled by Starc in the first over.

Travis Head’s account not opened. Rahul Tripathi (9) also did not bat. Aiden Markram (20) tried to handle Hyderabad’s innings along with Nitish Reddy (13) but did not succeed. Both made a partnership of 26 runs for the fourth wicket. Half of the Hyderabad team returned to the pavilion on 62 runs. Shahbaz Ahmed (8) and Abdul Samad (4) were flops.
